Fargo Moorhead Area Music Club

Jill Post, President
In 1894, just five years after statehood, Professor E.A. Smith of Fargo College persuaded a group of music lovers to organize the Fargo Musical Club. He became the first president of the group that eventually became the Fargo Moorhead Area Music Club.
The club supports scholarships for school and college students and young artists. Members share a love of good music with an emphasis on American music, take an active interest in promoting music education for young people, and contribute to the cultural life of the area.
